I keep hearing the following:
“Now that he’s our President we need to give him a chance to govern.””We’re supposed to respect our government.”
“The Bible tells us to obey our rulers.”
This is hardly the first time I’ve posted about this topic. It’s as if once Trump was elected he became untouchable. Now we need to leave him alone and let him get on with the job!
Trump supporters seem to have forgotten two things:1. America’s ruler is the Constitution and our laws, not individuals. We elect our officials to carry out our laws.
2. True conservatism says that man is imperfect and that government cannot fix him. We never, ever put our trust in someone who says, “I alone can fix it.” These are the words of a demagogue.
